The Juan Valdez is the rebirth of the beloved Original AppleSac. The much loved Original AppleSac and was our best selling sleeve, and we are excited to have it back. The Juan Valdez has improved over the Original AppleSac on a number of fronts: 

1. The fleece is much, much softer. Its plushness improves the life of both you and your MacBook. You are wondering, "Could it really be that soft?" Yes, it can.

2. The burlap is taken from coffee bags and is repurposed in protecting your MacBook. The burlap comes with the logos and designs of the original coffee bags (and the coffee bags vary in logos and colors). In addition to looking great, this burlap is more durable than regular burlap. 

3. The burlap is reinforced with a hemp canvas lining. Depending on use, the jute burlap will sometimes wear down on the corners. We know this and have a hemp canvas placed underneath the burlap for when that happens. That means that the Juan Valdez has an extra layer of protection for your MacBook. 

Working with the extra layers and the particularly shifty nature of burlap is tricky. But we put in the extra effort and passion to make it happen for you.

--Heavy protection. We start with durable hemp, then line it with a soft fleece on the interior and also a foam pad between the hemp and fleece on the bottom.
